Who’s Drew?
Andrew was the most amazing human you could ever meet. Beautiful soul. Kind, patient and hard working husband and fur baby dad. The love of Martyna’s life. Fitness manager, personal trainer, artist, songwriter, guitar player, tattoo enthusiast, and a food lover.
Andrew is no longer with us but he will always be in our hearts and minds. This store will be our way of sharing him with the rest of the world. He deserves that and so much more.
The owner
Martyna Dearing, age 26, proud first time business owner. Her passion for books, writing, and any type of art is what motivated her to open a bookstore. It’s been her dream for a long time but only losing Andrew made her realize that tomorrow was not guaranteed and she had to follow her heart. Martyna is a self published author. Her first book came out in 2020 and will be republished on Nov 17th along with the store opening. She’s currently working on two more books. Martyna is hoping to help other indie authors like her to promote their work!
The store
Drew’s Bookstore is not your average bookshop. It’s more than that! Martyna’s mission is to bring in art from all over the world, but especially to promote the local artists. Yes, we love books and our amazing writers but why stop there? Martyna’s dream is to work with all sorts of artists and performers. If you enjoy painting, photography, ceramics, singing, or any other art that moves your soul, there’s a place for you at Drew’s. If you prefer supporting the artists, more than creating, then let’s get you inspired!

Since we started the Friday Night Open Mic, Martyna - the owner, has noticed how much the Warrenton community needed this space to share their talents and stories. While in the beginning, the idea was to charge for open mics and other events, we now understand many people, especially teenagers, cannot afford or would feel discouraged by any type of fees. At the same time, many hours and effort go into hosting those events (open mics, writers group, and hopefully more in the future).
